William A. Phillips, 93 of New Foundland, PA passed away peacefully on July 11, 2016.
Born in River Edge, NJ, William was a longtime resident before moving to Forked River, NJ and finally to New Foundland. He proudly served his country during World War II as a navigator in the Army Air Corps. William worked as an insurance salesman for the Union Central Insurance Company for many years, and was a volunteer fireman in River Edge for 37 years.
William was the beloved husband of the late Shirley (nee Meeks); the love of his life whom he lived for making happy. He was the loving father of James Phillips and his late wife Maureen, Timothy Phillips and his wife Kim and the late Thomas Phillips; father-in-law of Debra; dear grandfather of Jaime, Karin, Scotty, Melissa, Eric, Sean, Amanda and Jake; great-grandfather of J.J., Ricky, Chase, Julianna, Hannah, Jaxson and Emma; and brother of Ann Ahlert.
Funeral services are private, entrusted to the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Ave. Boonton.
