David Duncan Lee Obituary

David Duncan Lee of Boonton, NJ passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 28, 2026. He was 71 years old.

Born in Morristown to Richard and Jean (nee Hull) Lee, David was a lifelong Boontonite and graduated from Boonton High School. He went on to work for Hewlett Packard in Rockaway for 30 years before retiring.

David was a NY sports fan, rooting for the Yankees, Jets, Giants, Knicks and Nets. He enjoyed delving into World War II history, camping with his family and collecting coins and postcards. Spending time in Lake George made him happy. David especially liked spending time with his family and watching his kids and his grandkids play sports and participate in their activities.

He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Paul Nusbaum. David is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Valerie (nee Storzum); his cherished children, PJ Lee (Jennifer Eckels) and Jeff Lee (Jodi); his adored grandchildren, Jeremy, Joshua and Jayden; his loving sisters, Laura Lee and Meredith Lee Nusbaum, several nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Please join the family on Saturday, April 18th from 12:00 to 3:00pm to visit and remember David in the Montville Reformed Church, Church Lane, Montville. A memorial service will follow at 3:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to two of David’s favorite places: the Boonton-Holmes Public Library, 621 Main St, Boonton, NJ 07005 or the Lake George Association in New York.

Arrangements were made with the help of Codey & Mackey Funeral Home of Boonton. To share condolences with the family, please visit CodeyMackeyFH.com.
