Obituary of Candido Orama
It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we mourn the passing of Candido Orama of Randolph, NJ, who passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025. He was 70 years old.
Candido was born in Aguada, Puerto Rico in October 1954 to Márgaro Orama and Cecilia Vargas. He was one of 12 children.
Candido’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, whose lives he touched immeasurably. His time on this earth was marked by love, compassion, and an unwavering faith in God. Candido’s joy was in spending time with those he loved, whether by being the first to call and say Hi, or by just showing up with his famous shrimp scampi. He adored his wife, family, golf, cooking, the Cowboys, working on his cars, and working around the house.
Predeceased by his parents, Candido is survived by his beloved wife, Marina (née Villada); his cherished daughter, Christina Augustine and her husband, Wayne; his adored grandchildren, Xayah and Sirvaad; his loving siblings, Maria Acevedo, Jorge Luis Orama, Márgaro Orama Jr., Juan Orama, Geraldo Orama, Carmen Acevedo, Margarita Patiño, Teresita Orama, Manuel Orama and their significant others; his father-in-law, Francisco Villada; his sister-in-law, Beatriz Villada; and many wonderful nieces and nephews and their children; his friends and neighbors.
His passing leaves a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many more who were privileged to be in his presence. Please remember Candido not for the way his life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact he had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
