Obituary of Sigrid Johanson Tracy
Sigrid Johanson Tracy passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, in Springfield, MA.
She was born in 1935 in Boonton, NJ, where she grew up and graduated from Boonton High School. Sigrid continued her education at Syracuse University, where she was a proud member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority.
She raised her six children in Upstate New York and Wilton, CT. For many years Sigrid worked at Continental Can Corporation in Connecticut. After retirement she moved to Leesburg, FL. Sigrid loved reading, taking walks, riding her bike and needlepointing.
She was predeceased by her parents, David and Margaret Johanson; her husband, Charles H. Tracy, MD; and her sister, Dagmar Weatherly. Sigrid is survived by two siblings, her six children and thirteen grandchildren.
There will be a graveside service at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 2, 2025, at Rockaway Valley United Methodist Cemetery, 46 Valley Road, Boonton, NJ.
