Louis B. Caziarc, III Obituary

Louis B. Caziarc III, of Butler, New Jersey, passed away on April 25, 2025, following a period of declining health. He was 82 years old.


Born in October 1942, Louis was the beloved son of the late Louis B. Caziarc Jr. and Aileen J. (Quealy) Caziarc. He grew up in Boonton Township and graduated from Boonton High School with the Class of 1960.


Louis proudly served in the United States Navy from 1961 to 1966, during which time he was named an honorary member of the U.S.S. SEADRAGON. His dedication to service extended into civilian life, where he volunteered as a member of the Tri-Boro First Aid Squad and was a longtime member of American Legion Post 154. He was also a proud member of the Blue Knights NJ IX Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club.


A certified Ham Radio operator since 1958, Louis was known by many in the amateur radio community for his passion and technical expertise. He had a deep love for his dog, Shotsie, who was truly the light of his life.


Louis was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Carol Champagne. He is survived by his brother-in-law, Charles H. Champagne; his niece, Cindy Sorrentino; and his nephew, Tom Champagne.
