Jeanne (DiRuccio) Schimmenti died on Monday, April 2, 2018 at The Oaks at Denville at the age of 101.

 

Jeanne was born and raised in New Haven, CT where she met her husband, Frank Schimmenti, to whom she was married for 63 years until his passing in October of 2007.

 

Jeanne was long-time resident of Boonton, NJ where she and Frank raised their family. She worked for many years at the Boonton Board of Education as an Administrative Assistant, and also volunteered at the Holmes Public Library. She was a devout Catholic and a long-time parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel R.C. Church in Boonton.

 

She is survived by her two sons, Frank G. of Fairfax, VA and Victor of Lawrenceville, NJ; daughters-in-law, Diana and Donna; six grandchildren, Andrea, Dean, Jessica, Nicole, Tina and Celeste; and seven great-grandchildren.

 

The funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, April 7, at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel R.C. Church, Boonton, with the interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Boonton. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 6 from 6-8 pm at the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Avenue, Boonton, NJ 07005.
