Joan B. Tims, 85, of Boonton, NJ, passed away on Friday, March 30, 2018 at the Troy Hills Center, Parsippany, NJ.

Born in Boonton, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Walter and the late Gladys Fowler. She met and married the love of her life, the late Roger Tims, and together they raised their family in Boonton.

A Boontonite, she was an active member of the United Methodist Church of Boonton, The United Methodist Women's Group, The Presby-Aires and a "Pink Lady" volunteer at Riverside Hospital in Boonton Township.

Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family and friends, whether at home or at church. Joan spread love and laughter wherever she went in life.

Joan is survived by her devoted children, Pamela Carter, Karen Healy and her husband, Neal, and Kevin J. Tims; also 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her baby brother, Ronald Fowler and grandson, Kevin Roger Tims.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 2nd from 4 - 8 pm at Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Avenue, Boonton, NJ. A Funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 3rd at 11:00 am in the funeral home. The interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Boonton.
