Louise Morris, of Boonton, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 7, 2017 at the Regency Grand in Dover, NJ. She was 88 years old. Louise was born in Alpine, Alabama. She was the daughter of the late Willie and Alberta (Rutledge) Calhoun. She met and married her husband, the late Jimmy Lee Morris. They began their family in Alabama before she moved to Boonton in 1967. Mrs. Morris worked for a number of years at Aircraft Radio in Boonton Twp. as a radio board solderer. After she worked in housekeeping at St. Clare's Hospital, Denville before she retired. Surviving are her devoted children, Charles (Patricia), Alfonza, Marilyn (Garland) Suitt and James; loving sister, Carey Smith; dear daughters-in-law, Anne Morris and Marilyn Garrett; also 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by her sons, Jimmy Garrett and Nathaniel Morris, Sr. A Celebration of Louise's life will be held at the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Avenue, Boonton, NJ 07005 on Thursday, July 13, 2017 with visitation from 6 – 7:30 pm followed by a service at 7:30 pm.
