Obituary of Lorraine Marie Seus

Please share a memory of Lorraine to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lorraine Seus, 86, of Ronkonkoma, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 26, 2016 at Van Dyk Manor in Montclair, NJ. Born in Elmhurst, Queens, NY she was the only daughter of the late Bertha & Henry Behensky. Lorraine worked in New York City at Pittsburgh Coke & Chemical and she often talked of her days in the Empire State Building clerical pool. She married Joseph C. Seus and moved to Ronkonkoma where they built a home together and raised two children, Nancy and Donald. Lorraine was an avid gardener and crafter, filling the entire year with her creative handiwork either in soil or fabric with shovel or glue gun in hand. Mrs. Seus also worked in office positions in the Sachem School Offices, Bendix, Techniswiss and Leader Instruments. She cared deeply about her volunteer work for the Bayard Cutting Arboretum Horticultural Society and nothing had a place in her heart like her pets, especially the boxers she adored. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph C. Seus and son, Donald J. Seus. Surviving are her daughter, Nancy Seus (Suzanne Wilcox), daughter-in-law, Ann Seus and grandsons, Patrik and Dean. Please join the family for visitation on Thursday, December 29 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Avenue, Boonton, NJ. A celebration of her life in Long Island will be announced at a later date. The interment will be private. To share a memory or condolence, please visit www.codeymackeyfh.com. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Bayard Cutting Arboretum Horticultural Society at www.bayardcuttingarboretum.com/support/ or Adopt a Boxer Rescue at http://www.adoptaboxerrescue.com/donate/ would be appreciated.
