Elizabeth Ann Dodd, of Clifton, NJ, formerly of Boonton, NJ, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016. Born in Paterson, NJ to the late John and the late Dorothy Osbun, Beth and her husband, George raised a family in Wayne, NJ and lived in Boonton before moving to Clifton in 2011. Beth was the first female volunteer firefighter in Passaic County as a member of the Pompton Lakes Fire Department. She coached her youngest son's Wayne PAL Soccer Team, which she enjoyed for several seasons and chauffeured her oldest son to countless soccer practices, games and tournaments up and down the East Coast. In addition to raising her family and keeping the neighborhood kids in line, she worked outside the home as a paralegal in several private law practices. She was predeceased by her husband, George, a sister, Bonnie and her beloved dogs, Chipper and Harry. Surviving are her devoted sons, George, III and James with his wife, Heather; a loving sister, Rose Gould and brother, John Osbun. Friends are invited to visit with the family in the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Avenue, Boonton, NJ 07005 on Thursday, October 6th from 5 – 8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, October 7th at 11:00 am. Interment will be private. To extend condolences or share a memory, please visit codeymackeyfh.com.
