Regina E. Reardon, 86, of Lake Hiawatha, NJ, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2016, after a long illness. Born and raised in Carbondale, PA, she lived in Nutley, NJ before moving to Lake Hiawatha in 1965. Where she was an active parishioner at St. Peter the Apostle Church in Parsippany where she was on the PTA, Bingo and other fundraising activities. Mrs. Reardon was a Lab Technician for Hoffmann–La Roche in Nutley, NJ before raising her family in Nutley and Lake Hiawatha. She was also a teacher's aide at the Lake Hiawatha Elementary School. She was predeceased by her husband, Mark W. Reardon, Jr., brothers: Joseph, Johnny and Anthony Murgia, sisters: Kay Kingery and Mary Murgia. Surviving are her children: Regina, Mark and John Reardon, sisters: Ann Bonavita and Teresa Connolly, and grandchild Dominic Reardon. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 from 6-9pm at the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Ave., Boonton, NJ 07005. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 9:30am at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church, 179 Baldwin Road, Parsippany, NJ. The interment will be private.
