Obituary of Louis G. Bracaglia

Beloved Husband, Father & Grandfather Louis G. Bracaglia, 92, formerly of North Caldwell, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016. A memorial visitation will be held at the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Ave., Boonton, NJ 07005 on Monday, May 9, 2016 from 2-3:30pm with a service at 3:30pm. Born in Newark, NJ to Paul and Jennie Bracaglia, Louis was raised in Bloomfield and lived in North Caldwell, Beach Haven and Little Egg Harbor, NJ. Mr. Bracaglia proudly served in the US Army Air Corp as a Sgt. In the Intelligence Section of the Flying Tigers in China and Burma. Louis attended Stevens Institute of Technology and Seton Hall University. From 1948-1962 he was employed as a mechanical engineer at Dumont Laboratories. From 1962 -1979 he was an engineering manager at ITT, Nutley where he served in several divisions. From 1980 to 1990 he was the owner and President of Eltec Associates, Inc., North Caldwell. He was a member of the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers, the NJ Business & Industry Assn. and the 14th Air Force Assn. Surviving are his beloved wife and lifetime partner of 62 years, Florence (nee Caruso); devoted children, William (Carole), Susan Tobey Burk (Scott), Janice Tessein and Carol Costanzo (Phil); dear brothers, John and Paul; loving grandchildren, Grace, Carly, Ernest, Tasman, Jenna, Andrew and Ava. He was predeceased by his brothers, Henry and Angelo. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the ALS Therapy Dev. Institute, 300 Technology Sq., Ste. 400, Cambridge, MA 02139 would be appreciated.
